One of the veteran producers with good postings in the past KCN Chandrasekhar heads the 2012 Karnataka state Awards panel.


The announcement of KCN heading the award committee came up after senior actor Rajesh declined to accept the position because his son in law Arjun 'Veerappan Attahasa' is in the fray. Another member Swami was also replaced by Gopi Peenya for the panel members.


KCN held the similar position in the past and this time he is heading the award committee with actress Pramila Joshai, producer Sa Ra Govindu, Muralidhar Halappa, journalist Sathyamurthy Anandanur, Yaqoob Khader Gulvadi, singer Appagere Thimmaraju, director Gopi Peenya and Information director Vishukumar decide on the awards.


60 Kannada films are in the fray for nearly 30 different awards.


Challenging star Darshan 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' is one of the topmost films in the fray. It is not only big in making, star cast but extra ordinary in collections. Darshan was awarded Film Fare for his performance in KVSR.
